City of St. Augustine
Chief Resilience Officer, Deputy Director Utilities and Public Works
(SJRWMD)

Does your local government/special district have an established stormwater utility or similar financing mechanism?
Yes.

How long have you been a member of FSA (years)?
The City of St. Augustine has been a longstanding member of FSA.  I have been with the City seven years and have participated in FSA since joining the City.

Have you served FSA in the past?
I have not served but have attended various FSA conferences and presented at some of those conferences or seminars.

What abilities and attributes can you bring to the Board?
I am currently on the Board of Directors for the Florida American Water Resources Association.  I also serve as co-chair for the Steering Committee of the Resilient First Coast Collaborative,  in Northeast Florida.  Between these two other organizations, I have some experience being part of a Board and can bring that experience to this Board.  I am also organized and enthusiastic.

What background and experience do you have in the stormwater industry?
I have a total of 20 years experience in the stormwater industry.  My educational background is in environmental engineering, where I have bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Florida. For my career, I worked at the St. Johns River Water Management District for 13 years in their Regulatory Program, reviewing environmental resources permits  focused on stormwater design and conducting compliance for those permits.  For the past seven years, I have served as the Stormwater Engineer for the City of St. Augustine.

Why do you want this Board position?
I have been involved in FSA mainly through participation in the conferences.  I would like to become more involved in this organization and contribute to this industry that I've been a part of my entire career.
