How long have you been a member of FSA (years)?
I have been a member for four years.

Have you served FSA in the past?
Yes, I have been on the Education Committee for two years.

What abilities and attributes can you bring to the Board?
I was an instructor in higher education for over 15 years. My background in education along with my knowledge of stormwater, makes a great combination for being able to assist in the mission and duties of the Educational Foundation Board. I have years of experience evaluating student work and providing qualitative and quantitative feedback which will translate well when reviewing student applications for scholarships. My background in science (degrees and teaching) in addition to my experience in the stormwater space translate well for any assistance or guidance required for research projects that FSA may endeavor upon.

What background and experience do you have in the stormwater industry?
I was the Stormwater Utility Manager for the City of Cocoa Beach for two years. My duties there included overseeing the MS4 permit and activities thereof, directing staff in the duties for the maintenance of and improvements to the storm sewer system, overseeing stormwater capital improvement projects, grant application and management, liaising with citizens and other watershed partners on stormwater issues and solutions, and implementing projects to help reach BMAP goals. Currently, I have been with Ferguson Waterworks for the past two years. I am the Green Stormwater Infrastructure Specialist for the state of Florida. My role focuses on being a green stormwater solution expert while educating and assisting engineers and municipalities in figuring what solution will work best for their project goals.

Why do you want this Board position?
I would like to serve on FSA's Educational Board of Directors to put my skills to use in a way that not only helps others, but furthers the field of Stormwater, which helps to get us closer to clean water and a better environment for all.
